In a world where young women feel unsafe doing even the simplest of activities, it is no surprise that we are seeing an increase in demand for self defence classes. Yet, how much do you know about protecting yourself?

Welcome to Pow Self Defence, a branch of Young Enterprise dedicated to inspiring confidence and resilience in young girls through the practise of self defence. Our mission is simple: to increase awareness of self defence, providing teenage girls with the knowledge, skills and ability to protect themselves, to build confidence, and to reduce the risk of violence against young women.

Our team has been united by our passion to do such after having a self defence class last year. Not only was this class taught by a middle-aged man, much stronger than ourselves, but as a group we soon realised how little we knew about such an important topic.

Therefore, our platform not only offers step by step guides of physical techniques, but also tips from teenage girls, to teenage girls to provide relevant and important information to those who we think would most benefit.
